Ananuri

On my way back home, I passed by Ananuri, a castle and seat of the eristavis of Aragvi, a feud,l dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles. I took this picture on a very sunny Sunday. I was about to end a one-month-long trip around the South Caucasus with a great image in my camera.
